| The Score on The Executive Branch of Government
[Last Modified on 2006.12.03]

The president must be held accountable for his actions and decisions. The responsibility for the legislative actions of the legislature also falls on the president, to whom the ultimate power of confirming or vetoing a law or action is granted.

  • A new addition to the system of checks and balances must be implemented. The Supreme Court may judge any action or decision on the part of the president — or any member of the executive branch under the president, or the combined powers of the legislature — to be unconstitutional. Such actions or decisions may include an inappropriate military action, an egregious fiscal decision, or any unconstitutional legislation. This judgment will go on permanent record of the president. If the president receives three such judgments, the Supreme Court can call for his or her immediate dismissal, and until the next election, the presidency falls down the chain of command as it would in any other circumstance that the president could no longer perform his or her duties.
