Skeptics' Circle #10
2005.06.09 (Thu) 12:01
The tenth edition of the Skeptics' Circle is available for your perusal over at Skeptico. We would normally make a silly joke about how you should do something wacky while eating your way through the cornucopia of skeptical goodies, but ten is an unlucky number for us, so we'll refrain from mockery, cross our fingers, and wish for luck.
We seem to be having one of those busy days, so we haven't had a chance to read most of the posts yet, especially given the sheer volume of writing (which is a good thing). However, we admit that we can't wait to read about The Missing Sock Problem courtesy of No More Mr. Nice Guy. There are too many unanswered questions surrounding this supernatural event, and we're glad someone has the nerve to tackle it. We also see posts on homeopathy, creationism, therapeutic touch, ghosts, Scientology, urban legends, and advanced civilizations on Mars, just to name a few.
In a bizzare paranormal twist, Skeptico reached out to us to see if we had any appropriate submissions only twenty minutes after we finished our Rant on aromatherapy. Clearly, his powers are beyond our simple understanding, and we'll be submitting this evidence to Dr. Gary Schwartz so he can begin to study Richard's amazing abilities.
