Skeptics' Circle #7
2005.04.28 (Thu) 11:23
The seventh edition of the Skeptics' Circle is available for your perusal at Thoughts from Kansas. So pull down the shades and light a few aromatherapy candles while you take in the hedonistic delights of skepticism.
At a glance, we see mention of astrologers (oops, we mean astrologists), various forms of medical quackery, the amazing powers of wheat grass (turns out it has the power to ruin a milk shake), a highway underpass leak that looks like the Virgin Mary (or a large vagina, you decide), creationism, critical thinking, and a review of the ridiculous movie What the ___ Do We Know?
In addition, Josh was kind enough to include one of our recent posts in this edition. Only God Can Prove a Negative, and There Is No God addresses feedback we've received on our Allison DuBois posts that instruct us that we should have "disproven" her powers. The post explains why this frustrating request that is often thrust at skeptics is simply not possible, in the case of Allison or any of her "paranormal" cohorts.
