The Fifth Annual Blogger Boobie-Thon for Breast Cancer is off and running. Hm. Running boobies. Just imagine, a majestic herd of thousands of wild gazongas thundering across the plains of the American West...ah, but we digress.

It's a clever idea, and it's for a good cause. We've known a handful of victims personally, most of them women who died far too young; just that handful is far too many. And as we can attest from recent events, breast cancer doesn't only affect women — last week, a local tailor we've been going to for years succumbed to his breast cancer and died. In his eighties and physically active almost to the end, the man was an artist, a pure genius with a needle and thread, always cheerful and willing to meet some rather outlandish requests over the years.

Back to Boobie-Thon: have fun, get a few PG-13 thrills, and donate a bit of cash toward fighting this damn asshole of a disease. We'd like to see cancer go extinct within our lifetimes. So hurry it up, will ya? 'Cause we're not looking forward to the pictures from the First Annual Blogger Prosta-Thon for Prostate Cancer.
