Are our laws meant to keep people safe and free to pursue their lawful and harmless goals, or are they meant to prevent people from engaging in perfectly acceptable activities that harm no one, support our economy, and actually provide a valuable service or product?

Yep, the nutbags who are usually out there thumping their bibles can also take time out to thump on whatever book they have that apparently tells them exactly what "being an American" is supposed to look like.
